One of the reasons I'm tremendously behind on the TOD rewatch is because I've been working on my Small Fandom Big Bang, a fusion of Eerie, Indiana and Jonathan Stroud's Lockwood & Co. And it's finally live and ready for reading! My artist made a fantastic podfic that I'm excited to listen to over and over and which will go live later today. Here's the fic itself though:

Trusted Associates Inc and the Haunted Heart (12760 words) by flashforeward
Chapters: 8/8
Fandom: Eerie Indiana, Lockwood & Co. - Jonathan Stroud
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Melanie Monroe/Devon Wilde, One-Sided Devon Wilde/Marshall Teller, Simon Holmes & Marshall Teller & Syndi Teller
Characters: Syndi Teller, Marshall Teller, Simon Holmes, Melanie Monroe, Devon Wilde, Marilyn Teller, Edgar Teller, Bartholomew Radford, Winston Chisel
Additional Tags: Crossovers & Fandom Fusions, Ghosts, Investigations, Case Fic
Series: Part 1 of Trusted Associates Inc.
Summary:

Syndi Teller, Marshall Teller, and Simon Holmes are agents, trained to fight The Problem: the dead who walk the earth as ghostly visitors. They run their own small agency - Trusted Associates Inc - out of the Teller house in Eerie, Indiana - a town where the Problem has proven to be even stranger than it is elsewhere. Between the cases they take, Trusted Associates spends time researching the Problem and trying to understand its cause, as well as why it is so different in Eerie - in particular, why Syndi Teller, who should be too old to see the spirits they fight, has maintained her talent.

One day, a family comes to hire Trusted Associates because their daughter, Melanie Monroe, is being haunted by the boy who's heart saved her life. Marshall is excited to take this case, hoping it will lead to a better understanding of the Problem. What they find during their operation, however, is a very different haunting than any they've ever seen before. And then Melanie and her ghost, Devon Wilde, offer to take them to a place where they can find answers to all of their questions about the Problem and Eerie.

And, despite his sister's misgivings, Marshall knows it's too good a chance to pass up.

To Whom It May Concern:

On this, the thirtieth anniversary of the premiere of Eerie, Indiana, [personal profile] evilinsanemonkey and I would like would like to announce our intention to embark upon what we hope to be the greatest and longest running fan collaboration in Eerie history.

After much consideration, we have decided to terminate our current romantic and domestic partnership in recognition of the fact that we are better weird and wed.

Stay tuned in 2022 to help us celebrate our Eerie-themed wedding!

if you are like me and don't go on the discord that often for whatever reason, I've posted some screencaps of a test item for my Eerie library project and I am looking for user feedback, since the idea behind it is it needs to be useable for the fandom. If you have a few minutes to take a look and let me know what does or does not make sense, that would be great!

also when this semester finishes eating my brain I am hoping to turn my attention back to writing fic so !!!

And possibly begin the first steps to creating a centralized location for links to Eerie fics, regardless of where they're hosted?

Cuz my final project for one of my classes is going to be exactly that! A library of Eerie fics!

I want to get more thoughts on what kind of information people want to be able to search by, so I made a google form, you can fill it out here!

Thank you so much in advance!

In your own space, promote a canon/talk about a part of canon that you love.

At the risk of being predictable...

Eerie, Indiana aired on NBC from September 15, 1991 to April 12, 1992. It focuses on Marshall Teller, who's just moved from New Jersey to Eerie with his family, and he's pretty sure Eerie is the center of weirdness for the entire planet. Together with his neighbor, Simon Holmes, he investigates the strange things that happen and tries to figure out what exactly it is that makes Eerie, well, Eerie.

While the show only initially aired 18 of 19 episodes and was canceled after one season, it was syndicated on the Disney channel in 1993 and then again in 1997 on Fox. I'm A Relative Youngin' when it comes to this fandom, so I remember watching it on Fox and absolutely loving it. When the DVDs were released in 2004, I immediately bought them and was excited to find out that Eerie lived up to my memory. (The DVDs are no longer available but you can get Eerie on Amazon Prime).

The show itself is well done, strange and weird and full of intrigue. It's fun to watch whether you're a kid or All Grown Up. And it also has one of my favorite fandoms to be in. We are small, but we are pretty spectacular. There's the [community profile] eerieindiana comm, run by the amazing [personal profile] froodle, a podcast called Return to Eerie Indiana that just came out this past year and is so much fun to listen to, talented fanfic writers and aritsts, and lots of theories and ideas and headcanons to play around with.
