As Halloween approaches I have noticed the upsurge in Hocus Pocus posts and it seems to increase every year. I am probably in the minority in that I don't love that movie, I like it but I'm not as crazy about it as a lot of people. The only reason I watched it in the first place was because it had Omri Katz in who I loved when I was young because he was in my favourite kids show Eerie Indiana. I was obsessed with this programme, it was on channel 4 on Sunday mornings and I remember thinking it was so weird and different to all the other American shows I watched at the time. It was never scary just really really weird and way more obscure than Are You Afraid Of The Dark. It was cancelled after one series but they rebooted it in the late 90s (Eerie Indiana The Other Dimension) and that was truly awful. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried remaking it again as it seems to have grown in cult status, this box set I got in 2004 and it's massive but there's probably newer slicker ones out there now. My favourite character in the show was Dash X played by Jason Marsden who coincidentally did the voice of Thackery Binx in Hocus Pocus (sadly he did not play Thackery in human form). If you like weird 90s tv shows and you haven't seen this then i would highly recommend it.
